Art Book: The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust (ORMLT) is looking to create an art book which will showcase paintings of the moraine by community artists. The book will be made available at art exhibitions, environmental events. Preference will be given to artwork representing designated ORMLT properties. Call for Proposals: The City of Peterborough and the Art Gallery of Peterborough, in conjunction with the Peterborough Fire Department, extend a Call for Public Art Proposals for a significant commission of a contemporary Peterborough Fallen Firefighters' Monument, dedicated to firefighters in Peterborough's history who have lost their lives in the line of duty or due to a work-related disease. Proposals are sought from professional artists, landscape architects, and urban designers throughout the province of Ontario. Applications are to be received no later than June 30, 2008. Rock Camp for Grown-Ups: RC4G (Rock Camp For Girls) Peterborough offers its first ever Rock Camp for Grown-Ups, a weekend rock retreat for women aged 19 – 99 this weekend at Sadleir House (761 George St. N., Peterborough). No previous musical experience is necessary to participate. Campers will learn the basics of playing a rock 'n roll instrument, working with a band, writing your own song, and performing on stage.
