Meeting: The DBIA hosts a Downtown Business Breakfast Network Meeting from 7:30 - 9 a.m. at Empress Gardens (131 Charlotte St., Peterborough). The Downtown Business Improvement Area’s monthly breakfasts are open to the public. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and the speaker (TBA) begins at 8 a.m. Admission is a minimum of $3 donation to cover the cost of the breakfast. Please RSVP to (705) 748-4774 if you plan to attend.

Business Gathering: The Peterborough Chamber of Commerce hosts its Annual General Meeting & Political Power Hour from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn - Waterfront (150 George St. North, Peterborough). The Political Power Hour gives you the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, all four levels of Government: The Mayor, the County Warden, the MPP and MP. The AGM will feature the usual spine-tingling audited financial statements, plus we’ve added a bylaw amendment, just to keep you on the edge of your seat! Celebration: The Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce presents an Evening of Excellence beginning at 6 p.m. at Victoria Park Armory (210 Kent St. W., Lindsay). This is a celebration of business and volunteer achievement in the community. This year, the event will include recognition in the areas of Tourism Excellence Award and Retail Excellence, along with a gourmet meal prepared and served by the culinary students of Sir Sandford Fleming College. Networking Evening: The Women’s Business Network hosts Christine Magee, President & Co-founder, Sleep Country Canada at the Women's Business Network (Peterborough). Leadership and foresight has led this woman to be recognized as one of Canada's 'Top 40 Under-40' in 1997, and to recieve numerous other accolades. Sleep Country Canada was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Legends in 2005 and the Retail Council of Canada Hall of Fame in 2005. Guests are welcome to attend an event for $35.

Trade Fair & More: Laurie Collette and company present Green Expo from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Evinrude Centre (911 Monaghan Rd., Peterborough). The seventh annual Green EXPO will feature around 100 exhibitors. This year will also feature the most extensive Local Lunch to date! Admission is $5, free for children under 12.
