Greater Peterborough Area Chamber of Commerce presents Breakfast Club, 7:30 a.m. at The Carousel Restaurant (116 Lansdowne St. E., Peterborough).This is a chance to get together to acquaint yourself with fellow Chamber members. The focus of the meeting has changes with a different speaker every month (a regular attendee to the meetings) provides a brief synopsis of their business and what they can do for you. Market: The Peterborough Local Economic Trading System (LETS) Exchange Association hosts a Market from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Knox United church (Wolfe St. at Park St., Peterborough). Members buy, exchange, and barter goods and services using Canadian dollars and a local currency "Green Dollars." Guests are also welcome to participate, buy locally, and support artisans, crafts people, small business owners, and organizations in the community. Today’s event features representatives of Showplace and the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre on "Working Together" (how live theatre and downtown businesses can work together). All downtown business owners and members of the public are welcome to attend. Admission is a minimum of $3 donation to cover the cost of the breakfast.
