Peterborough's Atomic Bagels
Luke Smit and Sara Berniker recently introduced Atomic Bagels. Gourmet bagels that are not quite a New York bagel and not quite a Montreal bagel, the Atomic bagel is uniquely Peterborough using fresh ingredients and offered in a variety of flavours including Savory Cheddar-Rosemary, Peppered Onion-Garlic, Chocolate-Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon-Raisin, and the traditional Poppy and Sesame Seed. Atomic Bagels also makes delicious schmears to spread on your bagels (smoked salmon, herby-garlic, and sweet berry), and a variety of rustic, hearty breads. New Sports and Injury Rehabilitation Clinic
Return to Function is a new sports and injury rehabilitation clinic located in the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. The clinic is owned and operated by Josh Martin, Registered Massage Therapist. Josh is the Varsity Athletic Trainer for the Fleming Knights and Peterborough Pagans Rugby teams and is also Faculty in the Massage Therapy Department at Fleming College. Scholars Education Centre under new ownership
Scholars Education Centre--Peterborough & Area has been purchased by Brian Nashman, a long time Peterborough entrepreneur and educator. For seven years Scholars Education Centre has been providing tutoring and academic upgrading for students from elementary to post secondary level. Brian is expanding the school, in partnership with Northern Needs Counseling & Assessment Services, introducing Scholars Employment Solutions - described as a "one-stop-shop" for adult education and return to work programming including Academic Upgrading, Adult Work Placement, Customer Service Programs, Job Search Training, Job Coaching, and Introduction to Computers. The Working Lunch workshop
The Chamber of Commerce has another in its series of professional development workshops called The Working Lunch. Thursday February 21 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Best Western Otonabee Inn, instructor Debra Bannister will talk about Influential Conversations.
