Writer and Broadcaster Gordon Gibb

Local writer and broadcaster Gordon Gibb has been busy! Late last year his first book, an illustrated biography on the life of Lester B. Pearson was published and it's now in school and community libraries, and at Chapters. Gord, who does the afternoon shift on 980 KRUZ, also has his voice all over the internet for companies like Bell ExpressVu, Listen Up Canada, The Hertzig Eye Institute, Harlequin/NASCAR, reknowned fiction writer Nora Roberts, and Symantec Corporation in California. Gord is also the voice heard across the United States narrating the 2006 Corporate Year-End video for the American Cancer Society. He was also recently named a finalist in the first-ever VOICEY awards from Voices.com. The Splice is open for business

Splice Restaurant and Lounge is now open at 379 George Street North in downtown Peterborough. Owners Lang Freeman, Ashley Clapman and Mike Boyle are offering a lunch menu and a fusion tapas evening menu. Splice is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon - 2am. The back lounge is open Thursday to Saturday with featured dj's spinning till close. You can also book the back lounge for private functions. Nicole Bullock of The Mane Massage
