Liz Lewis is an entrepreneur. She runs three companies, and makes a living in a very competitive market. The difference is that Liz's companies all concentrating on the Adult Industry. She is the publisher of Whiplash Magazine, runs Black Kat Enterprises - a distribution company for adult novelties, and Liz has just purchased a building on Townsend Street and opened Kitty's Erotic Boutique. Kitty's carries adult novelties, lubricants, leather, lingerie, costumes, sex toys and books - including a lending library. Yoshe Beauty Another successful entrepreneur is Cathy LaMarche, who has been operating Boutique Spa and Laser Centre in the Brookdale Plaza for three years. She's just added a third business at the same location, called Yoshe Beauty. Cathy offers organic body care products, over 100 base creams, lotions, body sprays, masks, oils, shampoos and conditioners to choose from. However… you can choose from over 80 scents and flavours in any combination to create your own custom product. There's even a line of products for pets, including shampoo, conditioner and a mud mask, although I have no idea how you get the cucumbers to stay on their eyes… Yoshe Beauty and Boutique Spa are located at 871 Chemong Road in the Brookdale Plaza, look for the side entrance behind Body and Soul Fitness. Hues in Glass moves location

Meanwhile, still in the Brookdale Plaza, Hues in Glass has moved from their George Street location into the Brookdale Plaza, beside Jeff Purvey's. Owner Val Cowle says the move gives them more space, more parking, more supplies, and a larger classroom. They are now open 6 days a week, they offer lots of classes and studio time, just stop in or call (705) 742-4131 for more information.

Anagal Company now serves the local market

Anagal Company Anagal Company has been operating since 1998, quietly chugging away out on the Stockdale Road, manufacturing hunting and shooting accessories, pet products, and promotional products. They are a complete die-cut and sewing operation specializing in leather, nylon, textiles and foam, and they sell their products across North America. Their Sew-All Division is now opening its doors to the Peterborough market by offering sewing repairs to anything from tarps to textiles. Plus you can now purchase textiles, plastic and metal hardware, webbing, leather, suede, foams, thread and elastic.
