Firehouse Gourmet Opens in East City

Firehouse GourmetFor those of you who like it hot, The Firehouse Gourmet is a new source for everything spicy. You’ll find barbeque and hot sauces, rubs, dressings, imported oils, vinegars and mustards, chips and salsa, and lots of other gourmet foods and gifts. Owners David and Anna Russell and Judy Campbell always have lots of samples out as well as recipes and entertainment ideas. The Firehouse Gourmet is open Tuesday through Sunday at 73 Hunter Street in East City, check out firehousegourmet.ca for more information.

New Tack Shop Opens

Peterborough has another Tack Shop! Located at 949 Highway 7 East, past Trent Valley Honda, The Tack Shop features English and western riding equipment, medications and shampoos, including the Alpha-Omega line of medications, the Breyer line of collectible horses, equestrian clothing, boots, shoes and helmets, bits, crops, horse toys, grooming kits and more. Owners Bert McKeown and Diane Kyle have strong equestrian backgrounds, Bert has 23 years with the Toronto Mounted Unit. The Tack Shop is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, call (705) 745-4055 for more information.
