    Fowke Tales: Showplace presents Fowke Tales, a Showplace Lounge Event at 7 p.m. tonight and 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Showplace Lounge (290 George St., Peterborough). Created by and starring Janet Kellough, Allan Kirby & Zeke Mazurek, this is to be a loving tribute to the work of ethnomusicologist, broadcaster, writer and collector Edith Fowke, and her work in a time when folks gathered in the kitchen to make their own music and tell their own tales -- history you can tap your toe to.     Spring Tonic: Showplace presents Spring Tonic: Blue Skies at 7:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow at Showplace (290 George St., Peterborough).     Peterborough Singers: The Peterborough Singers present St. Matthew Passion at 7:30 p.m. at George St. United Church (534 George St. N., Peterborough). This concert will featuring soprano Agnes Zsigovics, mezzo-soprano Marianne Bindig, tenor Eric Shaw, Gary bassist Relyea, bass, and organist Ian Sadler.     Concert: Full Circle plays a classic rock ‘n roll dance from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. at the Trentwinds (264 Lansdowne St. East, Peterborough). Doors open at 8 p.m. This age of majority event will include a cash bar.     Concert: Kawartha Youth Orchestra presents Concert and Reception beginning at 3 p.m. at Market Hall (336 George St., Peterborough). Brian Finley will be performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto #3. Mr. Finley is the co-founder and Artistic and Managing Director of the Westben Arts Festival Theatre in Campbellford. The KYO will also be performing: Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2, Elgar's Romance for Bassoon and Orchestra, Wieniawski's Violin Concerto #2, de Beriot's Violin Concerto #9, Gluck's Dance of the Blessed Spirits.     Benefit Concert: Sean Eyre and Terry Guiel host a fundraiser for victims of the Rubidge St. Fire, 5 - 11 p.m. at the Junction (above Riley's, 251 George St., Peterborough). Guests are invited to rock along with the area’s top musicians to aid victims in the April fire on Rubidge Street. The evening will include performances by Jericho's Wall with Terry Guiel, Full Throttle, Danny Bronson, Sarah Loucks, Chelsey Bennett, Rob Phillips, Washboard Hank, Rick and Gailie, Tony Silvestri, Buzz Thompson, Bobby Watson, Isaac Shoute, Jasher Guiel, and others.     Concert: Encore Children's Productions presents Music Arsenal: Carnival of the Animals at 3 p.m. at Crombie Theatre, Fleming College (200 Albert St. S., Lindsay). Quebec’s Musical Arsenal will present this puppet show based on the music of Camille Saint Saens.
