Come all week long or choose one program, with sessions at 9 a.m. - noon for ages 5-7 and afternoons from 1- 4 p.m. for ages 8-11. Monday: Wood working, make a wanigan. Tuesday: Drum making, with lively songs. Wednesday: Arctic adventures, with soap stone carving. Thursday: Junior curator, build a mini exhibit. Workshop: The Art School of Peterborough presents Art Camp from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Art School of Peterborough (178A Charlotte St., Charlotte Mews, Peterborough). Here's a week long art adventure for ages 6-12. Campers will explore pottery, mixed media, drawing and painting with our youth/teen program instructors. All art supplies are included and students are responsible for their own lunch and snacks (no nut products please). Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended and be prepared to get messy. Sports Camp: The Sport & Wellness Centre presents Day Camp from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre (775 Brealey Dr., Peterborough). Enjoy these program for ages 5 to 11. This five-day camp is jam-packed with fun and opportunity for your child including a daily recreational swim, so remember to bring all of your swim gear. Also, parents and guardians are reminded that weather permitting, the children will be partaking in outdoor activities and warm, outdoor clothing will be needed. Indoor running shoes will be needed, as well as a nut-free lunch complete with snacks and a water bottle. Extended care service is available for this program. Workshop: The Peterborough Museum and Archives presents KinderKidz, a program for children ages 4, 5 and 6 at the Peterborough Centennial Museum and Archives (Museum Dr. at 300 Hunter St. E., Peterborough). KinderKidz is designed for children in JK, SK and Grade 1. Explore a different theme each day through stories, songs, crafts, games, and museum exhibits. This skating rink has a N.H.L. sized ice pad and seating for 404 people, plus upper bench style seating and upper deck viewing. Barrier free viewing for wheelchairs and a warm viewing area. Until Sunday, May 30 Opening: The Scugog Shores Heritage Centre presents We All Live Downstream: the Story of Canada’s Water from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Scugog Shores Heritage Centre (1655 Reach St., Port Perry). This exhibition offers hands-on exploration of the science, history and issues in Canada’s water supply. Visitors are invited to explore unique display pods, each addressing a different aspect of this important subject.
