Lakefield Heritage was formed to educate, inform, and promote the heritage of the historic downtown core of the Village of Lakefield, through heritage walks and tours. We are a unfunded, not-for-profit, informal research group.

Lakefield Heritage offers historic walks during the summer months. May 1st to October 31st, weather permitting. The cost is a $10 fee for a family of four, for a half-hour walk around the downtown core. All tours begin at the Kawartha Lakes Eastern Region Chamber of Commerce office at the corner of Water and Bridge Streets in Lakefield.

We accept bus-tours year round. Tours can be made even if weather is inclement from the bus itself. Otherwise, the walks are subject to weather....see our website for complete details. Slightly longer tours are available for a surcharged fee. Longer tours will visit sites which are not in walking distance from the downtown core.
