Arbor Theatre
Founded in 1979, Arbor Theatre is a professional, not-for-profit, young audience school tour theatre company dedicated to the production of innovative and passionate Canadian history and current events plays and arts education experiences for youths which are relevant to their lives and which promote a better understanding of their place in Canada and the world. In our 2003-05 season, Arbor Theatre produced five plays with an attendance of more than 20,000.
The company's mission is to commission, develop, and produce a repertoire of original, affordable, professional, curriculum-linked, and engaging Canadian plays for young audiences which are of high artistic standards. The focus of these works are local characters caught up in important national historic events as well as new adaptations of classic literature.

Improvisation Peterborough
Improvisation Peterborough is dedicated to teaching improvisational theatre in all its forms to the residents of Peterborough and the Kawarthas. This is done through a series of workshops and public showcases aimed at teens and adults. Benefits of learning improvisation (improv for short) include improved spontaneity, creativity, confidence, thinking on your feet and teamwork. Improv principles and skills can be applied to performing, writing, speaking, teaching or any aspect of your life. People from all walks of life study have studied improv. No experience is required to learn the basics. It is a great way to meet new people in a supportive, laughter-filled community.
